This Environmental Policy applies to Jorge Oliveira trading as Local Movers and covers the environmental impact of removals, storage, packing, vehicles, materials, and day-to-day business operations. The reference environmental policy highlights areas such as fuel efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, and continuous improvement, and this Local Movers version uses those themes in fresh wording tailored to the business.​

Policy statement

Local Movers is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations wherever reasonably practicable. This includes considering fuel use, waste generation, packaging materials, operational planning, and responsible use of resources.

Key commitments

Local Movers aims to:

  • plan routes and scheduling efficiently to reduce unnecessary mileage and fuel consumption;

  • maintain vehicles and equipment to support efficient and safe operation;

  • reduce paper use by preferring digital communication, quotations, and administration where practical;

  • reuse suitable packing materials where hygienic, safe, and appropriate;

  • recycle cardboard, paper, plastics, and other business waste where facilities are available;

  • work with suppliers and service providers that support responsible environmental practices where reasonably possible.
